The committee is delighted to announce that OC has engaged Rabbi Simcha Jacob as Baal Koreh (that is, to be our backstop leyner, providing support for our volunteer crew) until the end of June. Rabbi Jacob will also continue giving the very successful pre-Shabbat davening shiur that he has been giving for the past few weeks. All are welcome - 9am, Shabbat mornings, at BJE.

We have launched our very own Or Chadash hadracha (leadership) training program for our children's service leaders. Designed and taught by two experienced former Bnei Akiva madrichot, Tarryn Gnesin Hersh and Natalie Karlikoff Steiner, this initiative should bring a new edge to our children's service program over the coming months.

We look forward to involving the community generally in further discussions about what our next steps should be.
